Welcome to HomeCorp

HomeCorp is an organization that has expertise in multifamily development, financing, construction, feasibility evaluation, marketing, management, and affordable housing. HomeCorp principals will be the general partner of a partnership or managing member of a LLC for any proposed development.

Since the formation of HomeCorp in 1987, HomeCorp has been one of the premier developers and managers of luxury apartments and condominiums in the Southeast. In 1971, Herbert Scheuer joined Aronov and became a Senior Vice President of the Multifamily Division. Mike Goldner joined Aronov in 1978, and before starting HomeCorp with Mr. Scheuer, was head of Multifamily Management.

Mr. Scheuer and Mr Goldner left Aronov in 1987 and founded HomeCorp. HomeCorp grew to be one of the largest multi-family specialists in the Southeast. In 1996, HomeCorp sold its management company with over 15,000 units along with its portfolio of apartments to AIMCO, the second largest REIT in the United States. After serving as Senior Management for a year, Scheuer and Goldner decided to return to the operation of HomeCorp as a separate company.

In the fall of 2005, Stephen Coleman and Lloyd Srickland joined Mr. Scheuer and Mr. Goldner to form HomeCorp Affordable. Then in January 2006, Jim Curtis joined HomeCorp bringing his expertise in financing and acquisition.

The properties in the gallery were developed by Herbert Scheuer and Mike Goldner, except for 2601 in Philadelphia, PA, which was a $16,000,000 rehab of a 1938 apartment building to a modern and luxury apartment complex that were later converted into condominiums. Please note that Sturbridge Apartments in Montgomery, AL were built and are owned by ALFA Insurance. HomeCorp worked with ALFA in the analysis for the development, design, and has managed the property since it opened. As the pictures show, each development is designed for the specific market.

What's new at Homecorp: At the end of September, Homecorp purchased a 216 unit complex in Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. The company is spending approximately $1,200,000 in renovating the property.

In Addition, in 2007 Homecorp will start construction of properties in Dothan, Millbrook, and Prattville, Alabama as well as Crestview, Florida. New developments are on the drawing board for Foley and Troy, Alabama as well as Freeport, Pensacola, and Port St. Joe, Florida. To View the Prattville and Millbrook properties.. Click Here.

Homecorp Affordable has several transactions in progress. Ground breaking should take place this September for a new community in Columbus, Georgia. Homecorp Affordable is co-developing a property with the Prattville Housing Authority. Also, future developments are being considered for Fort Walton Beach and Panama City, Florida.
